The next meeting of Fenny Bentley Parish Council will be held on Monday 4 February 2019 at 7.30 pm in St Edmund's Church, Fenny Bentley, the agenda can be viewed here
A 1.4 mile section of the Tissington Trail will be closed temporarily from 7 January 2019, to allow surfacing and improvement works to take place,
the section involved will run from the Thorpe Car Park, and end at Spend Lane Bridge. Works are expected to be completed by the end of February 2019.
The Parish Council has now received funding from the Big Lottery Fund for the purchase of a defibrillator, this has now been installed near to the entrance of FitzHerbert School, training will be arranged in the near future.
A Parish Council has now collated a petition for a pedestrian bridge over the brook on the A515, over 276 people have signed the petition and this will be handed over to Councillor Simon Spencer from Derbyshire County Council.
On the 15 August 2018, BBC Radio Derby's outside broadcast visited Fenny Bentley as part of their project to visit little known Derbyshire villages. The full recording is on the Radio Derby website until the 12 September.
